CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME THE DIFERENCE SAILING IN 7 TO 15 KNOTS WIND BETWEEN THIS BOARDS, RIO M and PHANTOM 320. ( SAIL 7.7 HELLCAT, WEIGHT 87 KG. ).

Hi rikys2,
I suspect the reason you are not getting many answers to your questions here is your weight (87 Kg./ 192 lbs) and your 7.7 m2 Hellcat sail. Nearly everyone your weight, in 7-12 knots, would probably choose a 9.0-10.0 m2 or larger sail. Your 7.7 m2 Hellcat might begin to give you reasonable power at 13-15 knots of wind. None of the boards you have asked about are going to give you any sort of "performance" until you choose a larger rig that will be powered up. Roger |

For performance in light winds, non-planing as it often will be, the Phantom 320 should win hands down! With regards to planing they are likely to be about equal.

Isn't the Phantom like a lot more $$$ ?
and more specialized board ie tending towards race
