Which sail for S-Type 104

Hi to all.

I own a S-Type 104 (2005) and I am looking for a sail in the range of 5.0 - 5.3 m2. I am thinking of something like the Severne Gator or Renegade.

The sea state in the area I intend to use the board&Sail is mostly choppy. I need good speed but also need the sail to behave well in choppy conditions with the footstraps in the inward position.

The other sails I use with this board are 6.5 m2. C2 and 5.8 m2 S2.

I would appreciate any other recommendations.

Hi George,

In Sails around that size range, the Gator is an excellent match to the ST104 in choppy, fast freemove type conditions and the 5.0 would fit well with your existing S-2 5.8m.
If you wanted to go more into the wave sail range, the Blade 5.3m is probably the best choice, it delivers a lot of locked drive (for a wavesail). The Renegade is fun and very durable sail, but with a very soft feel, which is not so matched to the freerace/SuperX character of the ST's.
