Has anybody tried?

How does it compare with 2012 model... wind range speed etc etc??

I weigh 62kg and am thinking of one as a my "big" board in a two board quiver. Small board is a 2008 iSonic 76.

Hi RWW,
the 2013, I tested the 2013 in wood construction, was easy going. I tested the board at Alacati with 8,6 m and 7,8m. The board had a great upwind performance and excellent speed and control at the exit of the jibe. The board felt extremely easy going, had all the time speed and had a similar character compared with the 2012 model. The speed felt great. It´s a very fast board with a big windrange.

What´s your biggest sailsize you are going to use on the 107? It definitely fits excellent as your biggest board!

At the moment my biggest sail that I have and am using with an older IS94 is a 7.0. Am thinking that I will try that initially with a 107 and eventually maybe go to about a 7.8 if I feel the need.

A couple of more questions for the experts.

Would appreciate views on likely wind range that I could expect from the 107 with my light weight (62kg).

Once conditions reach a steady 15 knots or more I'm likely to be on the IS76, so what I'm looking for in a bigger board is something that will get me through the lulls in patchy or gusty conditions, but will still be manageable in chop and gusts to say,18 knots. Also want to be able to use in relatively light conditions down to ???

As an alternative to the 107, I've been considering the new 2013 IS 110. I figure that, with it's greater width, it will plane earlier and give me better light wind performance, but feel that it will also become unmanageable for me in the gusts and chops much earlier than the 107. Thoughts??

Guess the 107 is easier to control in jibes and easier to get on the rail. Overall control will depend on the wind. But with your actual seize of sails I would go for the 107.
