Hi Peter,
The CR2 is really good with the Tip Extension, the sail is more easy in light and strong winds. But this will not work perfectly on the old one dur to sahpe completly different. The old one will be too flat with the tip extension. All the best and hope to see you in Estonia.

Hi Remi, thanks for your answer! So the 2007 Red line masts are completly different compared to the older once. Seems stiffer in the boom section to produce more profile there. In my CR2 9,0 the 2006 490 red Line mast with tip extension is good for the slalom trim (very loose top section and flat boom section) but not working properly with the F161. For the F161 I use the Severne 520/04. This works fine.
Holger: in which sail you are using your 490 (CR2 10,0 or 9,0)? For slalom or Formula use? |

Hi Peter,
I never use the 9m in Formula and this sails is more slalom orientation. In Formula I use the 490 for my 10m² over 25 knots. And also with my iSonic 133 under 15 knots. All the best

Hi Peter,
490 + Extension on the Code Red 2, 9.0 for Slalom. A friend of meine uses teh 9.0 with the 520 / 32, it works fine. With the 490 the saill is more flat an has more loose leech. @ Remi, your first answer, is regarding to the Sails R1 / R2 or the mast 05 / 06 / 07? Best regards Holger |
