Great vid but I was more interested in the Jim Drake interview. The Orion - sounds like Starboard are at it again, pushing the boundaries. I will eventually get my wife out for a sail around Dublin bay!

The Orion : a 20 ft long tandem Serenity, potentially the fastest single hull ever to glide in ultra light wind, especially with two very large sails...

I don't know anything about the sail size. Maybe someone who was invloved in the sailing or filming could comment if they see this.
From watching the video - notice some of the flags moving - I would guess at least 6/7 + knots of wind. Everything seems powered up. One thing for sure - that Serenity is fast in light winds! |
