What is the largest fin I can use with my Isonic 122 07'? I am 77kg and the biggest sail I use a 9sqm. The largest fin provided with the board (44cm) seems OK when the wind is constant and above 12 knots I am not very happy with its performance at marginal (9-12 knots) and/or gusty conditions. As the 122 is the largest board I have, I would like to purchase an additional larger fin in order to extend the lower limit of my boards rance, planning time and upwind ability. What size and type (maybe a R13 Race NR) would you recommend?
Many thanks |

I would use a 51 cm big slalom fin, such as the Select RS7. I have H111/8.4 RS and use 55cm Select RS7, which has greatly improved my bottom end & speed in the 8-12 knot wind range. When its overpowered, I change to 45cm. Have done 29.9 knots with the 55cm, so its not slow.

Hi Alexs,
In this marginal wind I recommand you a 48/50 for your weight. Right now their is a new profil at Deboichet who is really fast and help in low winds. The SL6. All the best |
