Default Freesex VS Modern FS boards

Hello. I am on a budget and am curious. I can get a 2005 freesex for a price I can afford, but I read the reviews for the flare and here its a faster board etc. So I have a couple of questions.

1. What are the big differences I would see between getting the 05 Freesex and a newer model?

2. Is the freesex still a solid board to start my freestyle career on? (like will it make vulcans, willyskippers, spocks etc easier for me to learn)

3. Is it as tough as the Starboard standard?

Thanks for the help. Just sold some of my big lightwind kit and have some money free.

The new boards will make life easier for you, thats what they do. But the older boards still get the job done. It comes down to how much your willing to pay, and how dedicated you are to learn freestyle. I started an '07 flare 99, I'm now so into it i'm putting down for an '09 98 carbon. me gusta freestyle mucho.
~~~_)~~~_)~~~i'm goin sailin, like, right after this
