Hi all,
One question The description of the iSonic says: The iSonic 133 W85 and 144 W85 are two all new models designed for the ultimate in lightwind slalom performance following the PWA's 2008 85cm width limit. The 133 for lightweights, the 144 for heavyweights So how is the definition of lightweights/heavyweight? My weight is 88kg and I will sail it with 9.8 Racesail, so what shall I buy? Thanks Tom |

It's my understanding that the iS144 was targeted for sailors over 90kgs. However, you might note that Antoine Albeau chose the iS133 for his big board this year.

Hi Tom
I'm 105kg & could'nt tell a big difference between the 08 iS133 & 144. Low-end power was the same, speed was the same, only difference I could tell was that the iS144 seemed/felt slightly faster up wind, this might be due to the extra 3cm length the iS144 has (I think the extra length is to keep the nose down/flat because of the extra volume in the tail, but thats just a feeling). Also, the iS133 is very very slightly more sinky during tacks. iS144 is also a bit better to slog on if the wind dies. If its your only light wind board, then the iS144 could be better, but this depends on what your next board down is.
