Default Wojtek POL-10 is on 161, kicking asses...

Thought that 162 is supposed to be the 'board'....

Looks like the old maestro has done it again....

everyone knows he is on 161 and RS-6 sails, what about current fins ?

Wojtek is on current fins... he's using Kashy's.

I think its kind of cool that someone can (potentially) win a World Title on superceded gear. Yes, its bad for the marketing of the current gear, but it also shows that there's no reason people should be intimidated to start FW racing because they don't want to buy the newest equipment. A second hand F161 from last year and sails from 3 seasons back are quite adequate ... Steve was 2nd last year at the World's using a superceded F160...

Interesting to note that almost all the Starboard teamriders in the Top 20 are using the FWOD version of the F162. It's heavier, with the extra paint on the bottom, but it doesn't appear to be any slower than the normal F162...

Code:
1 > Brzozowski    => F161
2 > Coasta Hoevel => BM
3 > Polanowski    => F160
4 > Williams      => VAPOR
5 > Hlavaty       => F161
6 > Vesterstrom   => F162 *
7 > Quentel       => F161
8 > Littel        => FX Z
9 > Menegatti     => F162 *
10 > Schurrmann   => F162 *
11 > Melo         => F161
- Some teamriders are on older boards... ( without any KASHY, DEB teamrider too )

- The first 162 is 6, slower then F160 and F161. Not to bad...

It is not necessarily bad for the market that an older board is winning. For an amateur it is an awfully lot of money to by new equipment, given that it will be outdated the next season, but if the board will be competitive for several seasons maybe a person that normally buys second-hand would take the step to by new equipment.

and importantly... if there was'nt a bouyant 2nd market, new kit would not shift.

Put a 162 under the feet of Wojtek, and it will be the fastest board...

So why he didnīt choose the 162? For sure if he wanted one, he will have.
Isnīt obvious that he choose the 161, as othes one choose 160??
Even Julien Quentel choose the 161!!!

Something isnīt smelling good.....

If 162 is smelling then Jesper Vesterblom is really a great racer beiing able to reach 6th place with an inferior board??

Just stop wining, start training. Most gear of last years is capable to do the job. It is in the indian and in it's capability to trim and tune for the max.

it's obvious that the 161 and the 160 are better than the 162. the guys using the 162 were on the FW One design boards..maybe because those three boards arrived at the very last second to the worlds...????? chequed boards maybe...?? custom maybe...????
So obvious what is going on..! Wojtec won because we had almost 11 races on perfect conditions for him...what would have happend if only one day of light winds would have come...???? would he still win...!!
is funny how everybody says that Antoine would have won aswell...he was invited to come...why didnt he??? maybe because the last time he stepped on a formula board he got third...?? at the northamericans..behing Jesper and Gonzalo..
