I recently purchased a wood Stype 115. What a great board. If you are thinking of getting one you wont be dissapointed. After watching the faster DVD I was inspired to give the GPS a go on a narrower board than my Hypersonic. Second day out and I went over thirty knots. It gybes like a dream and handles chop very well. I bought a 2005 closeout model and use a 34 Drake fin out of the Hyper. This board has been around for two seasons and I missed a lot fun in that time.
A truly happy customer ![]()

Couldn't agree more - for out and out fun, challenge and speed I would get the S-Type every time.
If anyone out there is considering getting a Carve... consider getting an Stype! |

Last year I went from a carve 121 to st 115. That's just the best I have done. The ST is much more demarding to ride than the carve, but it also gives much more back in terms of speed and a very responcive feeling. So no regrets here just a happy starboad customer

Also bought the wood Stype 93 2006. equally as good if not better because it is windier. Used it with a 31 salom fin and 6.5 V8 so far. No spin out. Keeps up with the best of them. Very comfortable, and a board you just can ride straight off fast without much tuning. Also bought a 5.7 Saber to go with it. Shopping and shopping is so much fun. After slogging around on wave boards for years it is so fun to get locked in and go flat out.
