best flat water recommendation

What is the best board for lake sailing with consistent 15 to 20 knots wind speed? I weigh about 160 lbs and getting back into the sport after a 20 year lay-off. I anticipate using a 6.4 sail most of the time. I was a relatively experienced sailor living in Hood River and traveling to Maui regularly. My new board does not have to be a compromise for any other conditions.

Welcome back to windsurfing!
How much chop on your lake and exactly what discipline interests you the most.
Speed sailing...slalom.... free riding...freestyle.... bump and jump?
The suggestions would be somewht different for each discipline.

Making the assumption is that it is flat water blasting you (at 72 kg) are looking for I would suggest a Futura, either the 93 (already quite wide at 61) or the 101.

The other alternative would be a sub-100 liter Kode, but that is not really a blasting board.

I think focus more on speed and a hard carving turn. Chop hopping and freestyle would be lower priority.

Hi JB,
For all around blasting the Futura line should be prety good. They are fast, turn/jibe easily, and can handle a bit of chop hopping/B&J as well.
Since you are on fresh water, I'd suggest the Futura 101.
If you want to go faster, in really flat water, perhaps and iSonic 101 would be good, but it won't be as fun when it gets bumpy and chop hopping would not be a good idea.
If you have really alot of chop, then perhaps the Kode 94 or 101 would be preferable.
