Which iSonic boards would you advise for the following sails:
North Warp 9.0, 8.0, 7.0, 6.3 I was thinking of the 133/101 or the 122/101. Boards will be used in slalom racing and long distance. I weight 82 kg and am 182 cm long. I am looking for 2008/2009 models iSonic. Greetings Jeroen |

nonopr's suggestion is good. Or you could take this angle: Open the gap by two boards to give a bigger usable range IE iS94 and iS122 (if you mostly get good solid winds). Or iS101 and iS133 (if you mostly get light gusty/winds). At 82kg your about normal weight, so any of the above would work. I'v not used a 6.3m on my iS111, but I guess it will be to small for an iS111 (bouncy, not enough power to pin the board down). I love the iS111, but if its your smallest board, you will not be quick in 7m and 6.3m slalom days. iS101 or iS94 will be faster.

A lot depends on the typical conditions you normally encounter as Mark h says. My favorite sails with my iS 111 are 6.6 and 7.6, so the 111 fits your two smaller sails. I weight 78kg.
Your the 8.0 and 9.0 sails work best with the 133, so that's where nonopr is coming from. If you have windy conditions and will be looking for smaller sails ( 5.8 & 5.0), then the 101 and 133 may be the answer. However, the 101 may be a little big in 5.0 wind. No easy answer here. Good luck. |

Hi jeroenmarcia,
For your sails to be the most competitve, I will say : 9m² : Isonic 133 8m² : iSonic 122 7m² : iSonic 101 6,3m² : iSonic 101 But the 9m² work great also on the 122, so my recomandation will be 101 and 122 so you can use 9 & 8 on the 122 and 7 & 6,3 on the 101. Hope this help All the best

Imho,
IS 122 - 9.0, 8.0 IS 94 - 7.0, 6.3 I weigh 70 kg. I use IS 145, 101, 86. I have mixed feelings using my NP RSS mk3 6.2 on the 101. The board feels too big for me. So I use the 6.2 on the is86. The IS 94 is a new design. Smaller version of the IS 101. It should be perfect for a 7.0, 6.3 sail. A lot of the pros use the IS 122 as thier biggest board w/ a 9.0. Hope this helps, Dan |

Jeroen, back to SB after your F2 exchange?
If you keep your formula than 122 fits the 8.0 + 9.0. 6.3 is to small for the 101, but if the year 2010 is out of the question (2010 isonic 94!) Than I would go for 2009 101 + 2009 122. (my quiver is now Isonic 125 + futura 101 + Sonic 85 and is perfect. Isonic 125 with 9.0+8.4+7.8; Futura with 7.8+7.2 and sonic 85 with 5.4+6.2+7.2) |
