My son is 8 soon 9 years old.He is sailing a Kombat tuffskin 114l.He is in the straps with harnes and planing .
I been looking fore a smaler board for him.But can not find detailt info for the Flare prokids. Looks like the 72l has a larger stance and more distance to the masttrack. Or would the 60 l suit him better a he is still small ? Hope you can help us Thanks |

Really hard to say. If he's planing and using the straps, I figure the 60 will work fine. It will still be a big floaty board for him, relatively speaking.

My son began on the same board at 43 kg and a little older, and as he was in the same stage as your son i got for him a 93 lts wave freestyle to get the waterstart dialed, then last year on an evo 75, sails are very important 3,7 microwave severne at the begining, then 4,2 zone NP, very ligth wave sail, and the boom neylpryde kids.
Hope this helps |

I will recommend the flare 72l. My youngest team rider age 8 uses an Evo 66 with a 3.2 sail and he is fully enjoying that set up. This board will last him at least 2 more years.
