During the last years I have ridden the Acid 88 with Naish Session 5,8 as the biggest sail. I??m thinking about selling the board and buy the PA 80. I will also change the naish Session 5,8 for a Ezzy Wave SE 5,8. It??s a typical "power forward" sail and therefor I think it will funtion well with PA 80. Has anybody tried that combination?
With regards, John J. |

I have no experience on Ezzys, but I wonder if you've sailed their latest offerings. They have a VERY deep profile, like a camber sails from the 80:s. So, a 5.8 Ezzy will probably produce a lot more power than the 5.8 Session. At least thats my guess. A freind of mine rides 07 Ezzys and are now getting along with them quite well. He typically rigs smaller than me though, despite being heavier.
Maybe someone else has more relevant experience on this topic. |

I have the same experience with Ezzy sails 07 ...
I tried the 5.2 and i find it as a camber sail, deeper than the infinity 06 ... so i prefere the 06 one specialy for it ability to be neutalizied when surfing. Some friends tell me that the 07 must be rigged in a different way : - less downhall and much more authall ( 6 or 7 cm positive ).. |

Thanks for the replies.
I have mailed to David Ezzy and he told me that I must use a bit less downhaul and more outhaul compared to the older sails. He also wrote that the sail has a better windrange than the 06. If You use too much downnhaul, the "forward power caracteristict" will be lost. With regards, John J |

I must say that i use only Ezzy sails 06:
4.2, 4.7 and 5.2 Wave SE 6 and 7 Infinity Wave SE are the best sails i ever had for wave riding and the 6 infinity can be very pleasant too in a no cam figure and small waves conditions. The 2007 have a different feeling, but when correctly rigged ( thank's David) should be excellent too .... I'm thinking to the PA 80 for medium wind : 18/25 Knts and good waves conditions ( i'm 73 kg), so let me know your experience with this board ...
