I have the possibility of buying a 2009 Futura 93 in Wood or Technora and the Technora one is 150 euros cheaper. The difference in weight is only 300 grams... which really isn't much.
On the water, is there really a noticeable difference in speed/early planing/high end control with the Wood construction over the Technora? Can anyone who has tested both make any comments? Thanks alot.

Hi Agrelon,
The difference on the water is noticiable, it's not only the weight but also the response of the board in wood compare to Technora. In wood the board will be more nervous. Now it's up to your money reason why this board exist also in Technora All the best

I had a futura 101 2008 in technora, but changed it for a wood after trying one. In wood the ride is more comfortable, reducing the shocks on your knees. To mine opinion, that difference was huge, wood rides much better.
The weightdifference between technora and wood isn't really an issue - why do people think it is anyway? For me, I never buy a technora again. If i were you, i'd go for the wood. |

Thanks Kvda,
You've made it quite clear to me how noticeable the difference is.
