Mister Remi.I hope that you can explain, why I have to change the model 2006 for 2009. I have
seen, that there is a big difference in width and tail. I used the Is 135 with 7.0, 8.0 and 9.8 V8 NP.(fin40/42,44/46,48/50).My weight is 80 -84 kg. Lenght 180cm. For more wind I have now an Is 101(2009) instead of the 105(2006). I have no experience with the 101 till so far. But I hope that for both boards the total range will be 8 tiil 20 knots.(choppy water). |

Remi :I am waiting for your reply.
I can change my model 2006 for a 2009. So what are the benefits? Give me also your advice about sail/finsize. I use Drake fins. See above.Fins are for tuttle box. Is this a problem? |

Hi Jan W,
I am in testing programe and away to easy connection, sorry for the late reply. Let's say that this 2 boards are completely different when you ride it. Yours are very low on the water while the 2009 get more lift from the fin. 7m² will be not a good size on the 2009 but perfect for your 101. Your 46, 48 & 50 will be good for your 2 bigger sails. The 133 will plane also earlier than the 135 and accelerate more with a better top end speed, so wid wind range. So this two boards will cover your espectation (8 to 20 knots) But for 8 knots of wind you will need a bigger fin. You can use also without problems the simple tuttle in the deep tuttle box until 52, over I recommand to have it in deep tuttle Hope this help All the best

Hi Remi thanks for your answer. Still I like to know of more lift means less control or means
more speed. I like control better then speed. In other answers of you ,you say that every board has his "sweet spot" sailsize. My question is what are the criteria(tests?) or has the recommended track position something to do with it. On the free forum there is a discussion what the recommended trackposition is.Thread: mast track tuning. You are a lucky guy windsurfing as a living.Or am I wrong.? |

Hi Jan W,
The board just fly over the chop with control then of course you increase your speed. The 135 was to low on the water and catch too much water. The best sail size for this board is around 9m² and I put my mast base 1 cm behind the recommand position with R16 52 but this depend also about the sail you use and also your style. Windsurf was always my priority in life, so I feel good ![]() Hope this help All the best
