Hi Kevin,
I am considering getting a bigger sail for light wind slalom racing for isonic 111 2010. My main sail for this board will be Vapor Technora 7.6 2010 and my weight is 85kg. I would like to know what sail would be better for very light wind racing for this board (10-15knots)? GTX 8.5 or Vapor 8.4? Which one has more grunt in light wind? I would like to have a sail with most direct feel, something that will pull me up the speed as soon as possible. Soft character (good for pumping) and easy handling would be a big plus. We usually do short legs in light wind so acceleration and handling in gybes are more important to me then top speed. Thanks |

I would say stick with the Vapor if you like the way the vapor feels. I just rode the exact combo yesterday and it was really sweet with the 7.6 111 combo. While I like the GTX a lot I still think you will be happy with the 8.4 Vapor in all conditions.
Hope this helps.
