Does any one have informations regarding wind/sailing conditions in croatia?
Got to have some background info before giving the misses a thumbs up for spending a coupple of weeks late august in the area around Trogir.. So are there any wind and any winsurfers in the area?

Some 25 years ago I went sailing on the coast between Zadar and Split. Nice weather and Bft 4 seabreeze every afternoon (it was late July). I remember lot of islands and no waves. At the time there were very few beaches or convenient places for WS but I guess it is much better now.

late summer is more about thermic winds
and for freeriding with bigger sails - but you never know...

More south is a well known Summer Spot : Peljesac Peninsula

there is also a spot called 'zlatny rat' or so
with a nice sandy beach formed like a horn

croatian people are super friendly and warm hearted!

Summer time is period of termal winds,the Mistral. It blows in the afternoon
Hours when it is stable weather with force up to 5bf.when weather changes you can have
Stronger winds.
If you choose your location the best summer places are Bol on island of Brac and Viganj on penninsula Peljesac.
If you already chose Trogir , mistral(NW) wind you can find around neighbouring village Seget, SW and NE wind around Split

Thats just great thanks for answering,i think i'm stuck in trogir, but we probably need to rent a car, so i will be able to seek some company- maybe i can give the wife a green light for trogir then,just have to bring the 101,6.7 and 7.7......
