I have done a lot of small repairs on the bottom of my wood hypersonic. I did a lot of sanding and the bottom wood is discolored around the repairs. I would like to apply a protective layer to the bottom to refinish it before I use epoxy paint on the bottom. How can I refinish the bottom to protect it from water damage before I use epoxy paint. Can I apply a layer of just clear epoxy (I heard it adds weight)?
