Hi Roger,
I'm looking into taking a windsurfing clinic this fall and have been advised that the sailing site is shallow water. My Bic Techno Formula board currently has a 70 cm vertical race fin (for sails 7.5 - 11.0) which may not work at this location, so I'm starting to look into weed fins for formula boards. I saw in another posting your recommendation for the 40cm Wolfgang Lessacher Formula Weed fin, but I can't afford the $300 USD price. Are there any other Formula Deep Tuttle weed fins that you might recommend? Thanks, John |

Hi John,
You might want to look at the Tangent Dynamics Reaper in a 42 or 46 cm. Also True Ames has the Santa Barbara Weed series and the Shallow Water Weed Series that do quite well on formula boards. Where will you be taking the clinic.... Hatteras... So. Padre Island...? Hope this helps, Roger |
