Hi ThierryP,
If you would like to use a 10m with a Slalom feeling the only solution we have is the iSonic 133. This board is really dedicace for slalom race in light wind and have the best performances with 9m and 10m. The iSonic 145 and over are simply Formula shape a lot more sweet compare to real formula, so this board are faster on the reach than a real formula, but not the best in jibing the mark like the iSonic 133. The 133 will be faster on the reach while the 145 will be faster up wind. All the best

Thank you for your reply Rémi. Can you give us some advice regarding the sizes of fins that a sailor my weight (75 to 78 kgs) should be using with the S/B 133 when sailing under and overpowered with an 8.5, and then same question with a 10m sail?
Thanks, Thierry |

Following all of the good advice above, I did buy an iSonic 133, and I love the way that it rides, like a true slalom board, fast on all points of sail, and tracking well upwind. However Mark did make a very good point when he asked whether I should replace my 8.5 and 10 m sails with just one 9 m sail, and go for a 122: I had a chance to try a 125 after buying my 133, and found that the smaller board feels much more lively, faster, and seems to be easier to get going. However I had only the chance to use the 133 twice, and I definitely need to spend more time on it to tune it better.
Thanks for all the help, Thierry |
