Default Nitro 5 for formula 159, any experience

Hi...
I can get a Nitro 5 complete with the right ignition mast at an ok price, in nice condition.
I will use it for my F159. I don't compete, but will blast with it until I can comfortably use my 8.5 on a smaller board.
Is the Nitro 5 still valid for "recretional" use with the 159?
Any durability problems??

Any feed back is very welcome..

Hi Per
The Nitro's are still nice sails & alot less hassle to rig and waterstart/uphaul compaired to the latest wide luff sleeves. I'v had a number of Nitro's (before switching to NS Warps) and liked them all. The centre of effort is further back than most other sails, so you might need to run your mast base further foward than normal. Durability is pretty much on parr with other sails. Other than that, you'll be on a good sail for your F159.
Cheers

Default RE: yes

As you're not after racing I'd say it'll be a good choice. I used my F159 with Nitro 4 KPro's and had a blast. Easy sails to use and good range for a guy your size; getting going around or just slightly above 5 m/s should be possible and you'll probably be far into your 8.5 range before wanting to change down.

Alternatively, though it is slightly more money, you could go for D-13's used Vapor 11. That sure is a sweet sail; I love mine!
