Question FreeStyle on the Serenity

I have started to practice freestyle on my serenity and have been able to do quick tacks, helicopter tacks and leeside pivot jibes. My question is:Is it safe to stand way out on the bow and go fin first. Was wondering if the board is designed to put that much stress on the bow. Some of the most steady fin firsts I've done but I don't want to snap the nose off.

Hi Vikingsail,

Very unusual question! The board should be able to withstand tail-first riding fine, without snapping in two - the board is quite thick so it's relatively strong. We haven't really tested this style of durability though so do ride it tail first with some care.

From a construction point of view the layup is symmetrical with the center reinforced with an extra layer of glass to protect against heel dings.
