Hello,
Last summer I've start to windsurfing with rental equipment. Now I'm planning to purchase one Starboard Go 155. My weight is about 190lb (85 kg) and I'm going to sail in Canada (Quebec) near Montreal where is average wind velocity about 10-11 kts. My question is: what size of sailworks retro sail I should have for planning in low end winds? Thanks in advance. |

Hi Jeremy,
If you want to plane in 10-11 knots of wind, I'd suggest getting the GO 170 at your weight. As far as what size Retro to plane in this windspeed you will need at least an 8.5 m2 (490 cm mast) and a 9.5 m2 would be better still. Hope this helps, |
