Hi Kevin,
I'm looking at replacing my hypersonic 105, its starting to show its age after excessive use & im afraid it might sink Is the isonic 101 a good replacement? I want a faster board but on the other hand dont want to sacrifice too much of the hypersonics upwind ability & wide sail range. How would the 101 go through lulls? I am around 82kg & can waterstart. Is the isonic 96 a versatile board or more of a high wind blaster? I regularly use 6.6 & 8.0 race sails, occasionally a 9.3 if i dont have my formula board handy. Thanks in advance Sean |

Yes the 101 is a great replacement. The 101 is one of my favorite boards and will work great with 6.0 and 8.0 both. It sounds like you will be better off with the 101 than the 96.
