Haole hatred on Maui - how common?

Hey guys!

I'm slowly setting everything up for move to Maui and trying to get as much info as possible. More I reading on internet more concern I become about "haole hatred". Been on Maui twice and never experienced any real problem with that ... and I'm typical "haole" - very white skin (never get really tan, no matter how much time I spend on sun), blond hair and blue eyes.
So… is racism real problem on Maui or people just exaggerating it?

I predict that all of the responses to this thread will be completely idiotic - just like mine. Even so, I can't wait to hear from the poor over-privileged white victims of Polynesian oppression. I laugh at you in advance. The middle-of-the road golden rule and turn the other cheek conciliators - I laugh at you too. The denialists - I am rolling on the floor now.

Tell me one thing: what does this have to do with windsurfing, or starboard?

Dont listen to the noise. I've lived here for 6 years now, going on 7, and I have NEVER had any problems with locals, or anyone. Everyone here is pretty friendly. but, you get what you give, if you know what I mean. If you act like a jerk, yer gonna be treated like a jerk, if you are patient and easy going, you will be welcomed. There are plenty of trolls on here and other misinformation going around. Some people think this is a political forum, anti-everything. Last I checked, its about windsurfing, and the windsurfing here is "da kine".
