Default broken nose on Aero 117 (2006)

Hi,

a few weeks ago I did have a hard katapult and the mast broke the nose of my favourite board...

I repaired that myself.
Since I would like to ride the board as long as possible (because it really is very good...in my opinion) is there a possibility to get a nose protector for this type of board (I know it is a kind of an un-cool solution but I would like to protect the board as much as possible).

I did not contact the local supplier (Switzerland) yet, but I think it may be not so easy to get it...

Is there any similar shape and size from the 2008/2009 series?
Thanks for replies...
Ciao Michal.

Michal,

2009 nose protector sizing are here: http://www.star-board.com/2009/pages...oseProtect.php

2008 nose protector sizing are here:
http://2008.star-board.com/2008/page...oseProtect.php

For Kombat Aero 117, check out 2007 nose protector sizing here:
http://2008.star-board.com/2008/page...stNose2007.htm

You could also use a T-shaped mast pad+boom bra protector (http://www.pro-limit.com/displayitem.php3?item_id=543) or the Dakine Formula Mast Pad (cat# 4200-225) that can be clamped on the mast anywhere you want below the boomhead.

Cheers !

JM

Hi Jean-Marc,

how are you doing down in Geneva (am I right? )?

I already checked that on the SB product page, I was just not sure if the local supplier (surf-fun.ch) does have the original one from 2006. That is the reason why I asked for a suitable one from the 2008/2009 series (which as I hope should be possible to get).

Is there any other option in case thay will tell me that it is not possible to get it in Switzerland...I mean like "send it to me..."

But I will first ask surf-fun.ch

Nevertheless, thank you very much for your quick response.

Ciao Michal.

I forgot....

of course I will use the boom\mast T/shape protector but I will feel more safe having the noseprotector as well...that I can really get the max. out of the sail...o not need to worry about the board.

You know whot I mean...I want the new Kode, just the investition is not that small and I would preffer to buy because I want and not becasue I have to .

Ciao M.

Michal,

Thanks! I'm doing fine in Geneva, althought not very windy this season (but no problems going out with the ultra light wind killer combo...).

For the exact nose guard reference to your board and availability or order scheduling, please contact Urs Ryf here:

Cheers !

Hi JM,

Yeah, I know the "surf & fun" as well. I wanted to get some info here first.
But I will contact the shop by email.

Have a nice day.
Regards,
Michal.

Michal,

2006 nose protector sizing are here:

For your 2006 Aero 117, you'll need a "M" size.

Cheers!

Hi JM,

Urs Ryf does not have any (not even anything from 2008).
Not that good, he advice me try to search all over europe...what I found a bit extreme.

Ciao Michal.

Michal,

I guess the Swiss market is too tiny to hold stock of such rare items. You could inquire at the national distributor level in France, Italy or Germany as their respective market are larger and therefore they may hold some stock of such items: http://www.star-board.com/2009/pages/distribution/

Cheers !
