Default Go133 144 155 which suit for me?

I'm 182cm high,85KG.
before I use hillfly 290 to learn
then JP Funster 180+solo 6.5 X3 rig

I can use harness.
But that board is too slow.So I try Go165 and Carve 161.
I like starboard,it's light,can go fast.
I want to buy a board. And which Sail I would take? Someone suggest Severne sail.
I want your expert suggestion.
(I think starboard is my good chioce)

Hi ichzgw,
Which board you need will depend alot on the amount and consistency of the wind you
intend to sail in.
At 85 Kg. ( 187.4 lbs.) you could sail any of the GO boards (133/144/155), any of the larger Carves (buy them used) or the new Futura.
If you have winds over 12 knots most of the time and could use a 7.5-8.5 m2 rig then the Go 165/Carve 161 would be good or one of the current boards (GO or Futura 133-166) would also work.
If you get more than 15 knots of wind consistently, then a slightly smaller board would work, but you would be giving up the early planing in 12 knots. You would need a 6.5-7.5 m2 rig for about 15 knots of wind at 85 Kg.
If you get even higher winds, then a smaller board could work for you with 5.5-6.5 m2
rigs size.
A Severne Gator would be good, but are they available where you live?
Hope this helps,

Thank you very much for your help.
I'm in China Tianjin. No good beach,So every weekend I drive 250km far to a good beach.
There no dealer at here, but I can buy it from Hongkong.
I ask them but they only have Go144 and severne focus 6.7. Or they have Element 7.5(2006 style).
They sugest must:whiteline 460.
I also buy a focus4.8 with whiteline430
Boom:Aeron 160-210 & 175-225
Is that suit me?

Hi ichzgw,
The list you were given from Hong Kong looks pretty good.
You still did not state how much wind you are expecting.
That's a crucial bit of information when selecting board and sail sizes.
I'd suggest upgrading to the 70% Carbon Blueline masts, as they are
significantly lighter in weight.
Either the Focus or the Element would be OK at your skill level.
Hope this helps,

Hi ichzgw,
Sorry, I ddin't catch the post where you said 8-15 knots.
If you have good skills, and the wind is in the 12-15 knots range most of the time, you could get by with a 7.5 m2 rig.
If the wind is more often in the 8-12 knots, the 8.5 m2 will be the minimum rig size to get you planing in < 12 knots.
Hope this helps,
