For Remi/Ian: Fin for is122 2009?

Hi Marko,

As you know we test a lot different fins here and until now we prefer the Deboichet line for the iSonics and are testing new fins for Futura.

For the iSonic 122, I recommand you the SL4 line in 42 or 44 in rigidity 2. Their is 2 option now 1 for soft and 2 for more stiff. 1 is more for light weight.

I decided to go for 2 fins for this board because I found that original drake46 does not work well at all.

Do you think that SL4 42hard and Sl2 45 would be a good choice?

SL4 42 for fullpowered 8.2 conditions, and SL2 45 for underpowered 8.2 and for figure of 8 slalom?

Is there any new model which would be better then SL2? Maybe SL6 or R16?

I'm about to place my order for 2 deboichet fins for my iSonic 122 2007 to use with 8.7 and 7.7 2 cam sails..
I'm 72 kgs, figure 8 slalom and free sailing mainly..

44 sl2 and 40 sl4?

Both sl2, both sl4? Or something else?

Last, rigidity 1 or 2 for my weight? Same rigidity for both fins?

The SL6 is the most powerfull on with a great glide, so in my opinion the perfect one for underpower condition, R16 is very good but use it in more stable condition.

For 8,7 you should use R16 or Sl6 in 44 and for 7,7 SL4 40 in rigidity 2

I already ordered sl2 45 and sl4 42hard for my is122.

Do you think that sl6 is superior to sl2? I went for sl2 because I wanted a very universal fin which works in many different situations (upwind/downwind/flat/chop...). Good choice?

Hi Marko,

Anyway is still a very good fin, but yes prefer the SL6 who have more glide than the SL2. You will be not disapointed with the SL2.
