In another thread Roger had mentioned Lakes Bay meet up for last weekend.
is there a place I can look to find information on schools or 'group meets' between Sandy Hook and Atlantic City? I finally picked up a heavy wet suit (hooded 4/3) for these chilly waters and am looking to start up learning again... |

Hi B737,
I do not think there are any "groups" (per se) in that area. I think your best bet would be to find the launch areas in that area (LBI used to have a shop and a few launches, and there used to be some sailing in other areas of Barnegat Bay) and visit them, ask is there are any "groups". Not sure what you need with a 4/3 wetsuit at this time of the year. I sailed Lakes Bay last Saturday in a neo rash guard and board shorts. The air was a little cold to stand around in, but the water seemed very warm. Hope this helps, Roger P.S. I'll be back in Lake Bay in August if the current plans work out. |
