I love my 2007 Kombat 87, but it's getting a bit worn- So...I'm thinking of replacing it with a quad.
Which will be more similar to my K87- the Q86 or the Q81? (Usually sailed with a 5.8 or 6.0) ![]() Oh- one more question, who has a good selection of SB in the US? I'm having a hard time finding the full product line anymore... |

For most practical purposes I think the Q81 is the most similar to the K87. You will miss some volume but the planing footprint is kind of similar. The heavier you are, the more you would benefit from the bigger Q86. But if you feel the K87 feel nice and comfy with a 6.0, then I think you will feel the same about a Q81 and don't need to go for a bigger Q86.

I don't know about US availability. Try calling your distributor, click on company in the menu above.

Big Winds in Hood River, Oregon had the full range of waveboards when I was there two weeks ago. I don't know when they will get the 2010 models which depends upon the US distributor.

Thanks for all the replies. I'll stay on the lookout for when the Quads show up in the US!
