Sory my english.
In my club all 2009 North carbon platinum booms have broken in the same plase in front part (aluminium inside) 6 booms. And the diller dasnt has booms for change all finished. The same with 2009 X9 all of them have big cracs or broken in front part(9 booms). I have to admit ,that the quality of X9 2008,2007,2006 were much beter. In my country only North ,Pryde,Gaastra. Pleese send information about 2010 carbon booms. Thanks in advans for everybody. |

Go for Tecnolimits, Al360 or Fiberspar: very good and reliable products.
I've also read about Maui Sails booms but never tried or saw any of themm.. |

Its crazy how two of the most expensive booms around keep breaking. Im using carbon Fiberspar & HPL (with Mauisails boom clamp) for 3-years plus, no problems so far. Also got an old 2003 Arrows Ulitmat race, again no problems but not as solid/stiff as the HPL/Fiberspar. Heard that Mauisails carbon is really strong and nice feel. Difficult to get the Mauisails over in the UK. A couple of locals use the Tecnolimits and say there really decent booms.
