Futura and Big Sail

Will a Futura 08 133lts be fine with a 9.9m sail?
Is this sail uphaulable with this board?
Wind conditions are 5-10 miles.

Are these planing conditions for this sail and board?

Maybe with a Severne Glide 8.5. According to the German Surf Magazine they managed to plane with a similar board in 9 knots.

At 155 pounds, uphauling any sail on the 133 should be relatively easy. Will a 9.9 work on the 133? That's another question. If the 9.9 isn't too far out of balance on the 133, it will take at least 10 - 12 mph winds to plane and then with a lot of pumping and a big fin.

You won't plane on ANYTHING in 5-8 mph winds. With a formula board and a 10.0-11.0 meter sail, you may be able to pump up on plane in 9 - 10 mph winds, but if there are any holes, you will drop off plane quickly.

In 5 - 10 mph winds, 99.9% of the windsurfing world isn't planing.
