Is there a place on this website to register a new board? The registration card says I have to register my new board at www.star-board.com/registration within 14 days or the 12 month waranty is voided. That address takes me to the Starboard home page with no place to register. Only a place to register a claim for defects.

Hi CoachG,
I believe that you need to register your board with the retail shop where you purchased it. The retail shop, in turn, is supposed to register it with the distributor they work under. The national distributor is supposed to register it with Starboard HQ. There used to be a registration link on the website, but I have not seen it lately and I think it's probably better to have a "paper trail" for any warranty issues. All warranty issues must go up the same route (I.E. Retailer/dealer..... Distributor..... Starboard HQ). I will check with the SB HQ IT guys and see if the link has been removed or simply is not working. Hope this helps, |

Thanks Roger. It did seem a little confusing. The paperwork looked like I was only to go through the retailer if the board was damaged.

Hi CoachG,
Yes, that's correct, but think how much better your "bargaining position" will be if the link to the shop; the distributor; and Starboard HQ is already established. Martin, the new int'l sales director should be posting something on this subject very soon that should provide you with the official position on this issue. |
