Ladies and Gentlemen, it is that time of year for the Alex Caviglia Bluewater Classic, Shake A Leg Miami, Jan. 16,17,18 2010. Classes will be Formula, RS-X North Americans, Techno and Kona. Lots of new gear is usually revealed at the Caviglia, this year will be no exception, lots of new stuff starting to show up in Miami as we speak. Last year Wilhelm Schurman was successful in defeating Gonzalo in a tight event that had a huge range of conditions from marginal planing to completely hammering, people not even making it back to the dock, mega-juice. But Miami is the best place to be in Jan.....warm, windy, with lots of top level windsurfing going on! Judas Priest will be the featured band, we look forward to seeing everyone there. Thank you and best wishes from Miami! |

Although it is FREEZING in Miami right now, forecast is for it to be 80 for the beginning of the event....lots of folks signing up, go ahead and pre-register, looks like we will be having some excellent racing at Caviglia! People coming from all over the globe, looking forward to seeing all of you there!
That was a joke about the Priest, but if you guys know them, tell them to come anyway, it would be sweet. Shake A Leg hangar is a great concert venue, in fact, Muhammad Ali used to train there back in the day, that is actually a true story. http://www.cavigliafoundation.org/ |

Yes, the Event includes Formula, RS-X, Kona, Techno, Open Bic, and sailboat classes. Jan. 16.17.18 at Shake A Leg Miami in Biscayne Bay. Racing all 3 days, dinner Saturday, lunch every day, good event with excellent hospitality. Warm and windy...thank god it is not this weekend, 45 degrees down here, but next weekend back in the 80's, so we can't wait for that. All the new gear for 2010 on display in the water!

Conditions look really good for the weekend, all you people freezing up north need to get down here for this! 80 on Saturday, not far from our record high in Miami.

Micah, long time friend of the Caviglia and past champion, and Wilhelm Schurman, last year's winner, will both be at Caviglia. Forecast looks AWESOME!
