Raceboard worlds - New toys, news?

So, I heard that Starboard and another company are introducing new raceboard models at the raceboard world championship, which starts today in Thailand.

Any news or pictures from that yet? I'm pretty curious to see how the "Phantom Raceboard" will differ from the standard Phantom.

According to the Raceboard site, there's not a single Hybrid in the entries. Does that mean the Phantom Race is over 320cm, which I understand is now the Raceboard dividing line between Longboard and Hybrid?

It's a pity there's no hybrids in some ways, because without hybrids to beat, the speed of the longboards may not be as easy to show.

I wonder what the lack of hybrids shows about the Raceboard class' decision to force Youth sailors onto hybrids?

From the IASF site, the Phantom Race is 3245 x 705 x 245L and 14.7 kg's.

Sure would be nice to get a look at a board already on the water and racing in an international event?

The site isn't much good, but the conventional Raceboards (Pan Am, Mega Cat, IMCO 7.4 and the new Exocet X 380) are clearly dominating according to the Raceboard site.

As it says;
"Further down the field are the "hybrid" racers clearly at a disadvantage against the "longboards" in the light wind conditions experienced so far.

Leading Starboard Phantom sailor is Phanutaat Ruamsap (THA 3); first Exocet Kona Piyawat Panbuddee (THA 27)."

Full results aren't available. It would be interesting to know how far down the field the hybrids are. Kona is a very nice beginner's board/fun board/one design, but it doesn't seem to be competitive with "real" raceboards.

Pan Am 1st (and 6th).
Warp X 380 2nd, (and 5th, 11th).
Mega Cat 3rd
Mistral OD (with 7.4, according to site) 4th (and 7th, 8th and 10th)
Phantom 16th and 17th. Julien Quental 6,24,16,24 then stopped racing.
Kona 25th and 26th, and a mortgage on the last few places.

All Konas and most Phantoms were beaten by most IMCO 7.4s.

The winner was on a Pan Am? I thought it was a Mistral Superlight II when I saw the pictures of Patrik Pollak on it. What vintage is the Pan Am? Interesting that it's still competitive.
