Kode 86

I own a ACID 80 wood and a KOMBAT 96.
I am looking for an intermediate board for free-wave conditions
What abou the KODe 86? It could be the wright board or the volume is to near to the other 2 I already have?

It is right between the two you have, not just in size and volume but also in performance, so to say. But of course, this will also put it rather close to any of them. But if you're truly looking for something in between, the Kode 86 for sure is it.

As my weight is 74kg, buying the KODE86, you think I should also change the ACID 80?

OK, that's the older generations then. If you want it for top end control it's still a good board. But for sure newer generations are overall better, faster and earlier planing and more compact for a more maneuverable feel and also better top end. But you still shouldn't change just for the sake of it. Try the 86 and if then the 80 does not feel nice to ride anymore (which sometimes happen when you experience new gear) you could think about upgrading to a Kode 74.

I weigh 74Kg (wet) and own Kode 74 and 86. Bigger I have Futura 101 , Isonic 101 et Futura 122 (pretty good customer of SB)-
I never hesitate betw the 74 and 86. The smallest is really for wave and turns/big jumps. The 86 is a small free wave, pretty fast on flat water with decent freeride fin.
I use Blade 4 and 4.7 for the 74l and Duke5.4 and Gator 6 for the 86L, no overlap.
A top board, highly recommended. Lovely in Wood)- Not sure Wood Carbon worth the extra $, for sure not on the second-hand market.
