+30 knots with Go 155

I made a bet with a friend about that. I believe with my Severne NCX 9.0 and a suitable fin it could be possible if I find flat water somewhere when it blows 15-20 knots.
The bet was a 2 sec peak not 5 x 10 sec average.
What fin do you recommend?
I'm 95 kg.

Not sure about the fin, but I think your challenge might just be doable if you have really ideal conditions.

I peak at 25knts with a 7.2m tribord sail (2 cams) and an old Bic Freeride 130l, 66cm wide, in less than ideal conditions, but still relatively flatwater.

What's your best speed so far?

SHould be possible, I remember my brother doing something like 27kn on the starboard start (2001), we still have this board at home and it is even a bit wider than 1.00m.

The easy way would be take a sail around 7.0 and a fin around 45cm with straight leading edge (no weedfin). With a 9.0 it is possible, but harder, because the fin needs to be better quality (higher pressure= more drag). Most good fins does cost a bit more than a few beers I believe the standard 52cm fin is a bit big for 30kn, would be a real achievement to do 30kn with that one!!!. The weedfin might be better above 25kn (only downwind and flat water)
