I have noticed that the group of iSonics for light to medium wind (127, 117 wide, 117, 107) all have "Flat Vee to Mono/Double Concave to Flat Vee" except the 117 which is all flat vee.
Why? |

Hi Cholo,
The only ones who have mono concave are the 127 & 117 Wide and all the other ones V Flat in the planning area All the best

Hi Remi,
what is the mono concave there for? Is that the main reason why you say 117 is more for high wind and the 117wide for light wind (except width)? |

Hi Cholo,
Exactly, the mono concave is more for light winds boards and start to be very complicate to manage on hi winds boards and narrow. All the best

what does it do, more lift?
I guess iSonic 122 2009 doesn't have any concave in the front just like the 117? |

may be last question was too easy...
I'll try with a new one. What is then the purpose of the double concaves in the 107? |

Hi Cholo,
Yes the mono concave give more lift. Make the board fly and V double concave give more control and lift less the board. The 117 is an evolution of the 122 while the 117 wide is totally new model. All the best

do you mean the 107 should not have Vdouble concave but V flat in the rear : on my 107, there is Vdouble concave in the planning area; the V flat begin very very far behind (around the middle of the fin box); |
