I am curious about the technical aspects of the R&D and design process at Starboard.
I understand that team riders and R&D people log several hours of windsurfing to help come up with new designs or improvements on the old design. Once a design idea is in the works, I am curious if it is rendered with computer aided drafting software, and if the final digital model is used to shape the board with a machine process. Also, in promoting a new design, is some kind of 3d modeling and computer animation software used for illustration and video presentations? Like they do for cars these days... Hopefully this question is in the right place. :-) |
