Questions about the Design Process

I am curious about the technical aspects of the R&D and design process at Starboard.

I understand that team riders and R&D people log several hours of windsurfing to help come up with new designs or improvements on the old design.

Once a design idea is in the works, I am curious if it is rendered with computer aided drafting software, and if the final digital model is used to shape the board with a machine process.

Also, in promoting a new design, is some kind of 3d modeling and computer animation software used for illustration and video presentations? Like they do for cars these days...
