I am looking at getting a s-type 104 and need to know what sail sizes and what wind range they are good for. I weigh about 82kg.
Appreciate any comments. |

Neil,
I weight 74kg and I do own a Stype 104 the sail sizes that i used on the stype was from 4.8 up to 6.4 sails.. I even use this board during the PWA Gra Canaria slalom42 dscipline with a 4.7 and it was working great in those high wind even jibing perfect. In Costa Brava spain i use this board with my 6.4 switch mauisails and the board was also okay. I wo't recommend going bigger then 7.0.. but the board is pretty fast and sure you will enjoy it. Taty

Hi Taty,
Thanks for the info. Do you think the 104 will handle a 7.0 sail or would a 6.5 be the biggest to use on it. Regards Neil |

Hi Neil,
Yes, it can handle it.. To give you a correct answer I toke time and went to test it with a 7.0 sail and it was still working ok, but not as good as I taught it will work. But to get a better feeling on the board I will recommend you to not go bigger then a 7.0.. hope this help taty ![]()
