Hi,
I want to sell my Futura 133 2010 wood version and replace it for a new board. At this point I am doubting between an Ultrasonic 147 or an Isonic 137 or even a Futura 141. My weight is 98kg and length is 1.95m. I am an intermediate surfer. I also have the Futura 111 and 93 (both 2011). I want to have the board for light winds (9 - 15knts) The sails I have : RAM 9,0 (2010) RAM 8,5 - 7,0 - 6,3(2011) S-type 7,8 (2009) I like the Futura's very much, easy forgiving boards. I wonder how the Ultrasonic will be and if the Isonic will also be a good alternative. Why sould I go for the Ultrasonic, the Isonic or even stay with the Futura? Like to hear your opinion

Unless you are a very efficient pumper I’m thinking the 133 is far too small for you for wind 9-15 knts. I weigh 74 Kg and have the Futura 133 & and older AHD GTS that is 160 liters & 86 cm wide. My largest non-formula sail is a 7.3 and in 9-15 knt winds the GTS gets up and goes much sooner then the Futura. My GTS planes much earlier then the Futura 141 as well so I’m thinking you should be looking at the Ultrasonic for 9-15 knts @ your weight.

Hi Marxo
Yes the UltraSomic 147 will be the choice and more easy than an iSonic 137 who is any way to narrow. If you prefer the Futura Style who is quiet easy, the US 147 will be perfect. In the future if you want to plane even earlier you can go for a bigger sail ![]() All the best

thnx coachg and Remi,
I was thinking about that too. I have a question about the sails for this board (US147) You recomend the Severne overdrive for this board. Which size do you reccomend for me for 9-15kts. Can I compare the overdrive with the RAM from north sails? and what kind of boom and luff do I need for the overdrive? Is there a big difference for de US 2012? Sould I go for the wood or carbon version? allot off questions, but I want to do it good, I want to enjoy the board and not compromise. thnx in advance
