Isonic 127 or 137 instead of a formulaboard.

I am looking for a 130 or 140 board instead of a formulaboard,, from Starboard there are the Isonic127 and 137, but are they the solutions to my problems.....I weighs 86 kilo dry and want to use the slalomboard instead of a formulaboard with big sail up till 10 m2....but which one will bring me through the wind holes on the see as a formulaboard....with winds from 7 to 9 knots on the local lake...

I own a 144 isonic (and smaller) and a Formulaboard. For 7 to 9 knots you need for sure a Formula with 10.7 or 12m sail to start and enjoy planning.... A 130 / 140 board with 10m sail is no option in these light winds with your weight. Ultra Sonic might be an option, but I would prefer the formula...

The 127 & 137 are pure slalom Board under PWA rules of 85cm wide and this is quiet far from the 100.5cm wide from a Formula who are extremely wide in the tail compare to this 2 slalom board. But you have very good option for your program, the UltraSonic 147, this board plane almost as fast as a Formula board and faster and a lot easier on reach since 8 knots. So with your 10m this board will give full satisfaction and more. No burning back leg like the Formula on reach and this board can be a weapon for light winds long distance race, in this kind of race their is always a bit up wind to do and she will make a big gap with the other slalom boards.
