Hi, sorry for my english....
I want buy ultrasonic147 but.... in the town where I live, the sea over 15knots from N/NO/NE become slight! ultrasonic 93,2 cm width... can be a problem in the vawe and the foam?? Is better the I SONIC 137 85 width? Usually my home spot is not so windy! About 10/15 knot in summer! 18/25 winter! I'm 80/83kg! I prefer slalom! is not a question of ride style: I wont early planning but i prfer a table that i can use over 15 knot too! I'm going to buy a board that since 15 /18 Knots is good.... but then in chops is uncontrollable? Thank and hope you understand my bad english! Bye |

Hi Unregistered
If you want to plane really earlier you have to go for bigger sails, like 9.7 Overdrive is my Favorite on it, you will start to plane easy at 8 knots with a lot of fun. The board is easy to control in chops. If you want to stay with 8.5 the best combination will be the iSonic 117 Wide. The iSonic 137 is for very heavy racers and the perfect sail for the 127 is around 9.3/9.5. Hope this help. All the best

Hi Remi!
Regarding the 117, do you think an IS 117 Wide would plane "a lot" earlier than a Futura 111? Now I use a 7.5 NCX as the biggest sail, but as I have understood, it ain´t no use of buying a lot bigger sails for the F111. But an 8.6 or bigger on an IS 117w, does it sound wise if I want to plane in lighter winds, or will the boards be too close, will I ever change down to F111 anymore? My weight is 88 kg. |

Hi Nicci,
Yes that will a big difference iSonic 117 Wide with 8.6 vs Futura 111 with 7.5. Try to get minimum 2 cams for the iSonic 117 Wide the top of course is full slalom sail to get the max of this board. The gap will be enough big between this 2 combo. All the best
