I try to search the good area for my sails. You tell me that 7 M is not a good solution . The good solution seem to be 9.5 and 7.8 but i'm not sure that 9 or 9.5 is possible on the i sonic 117 .

Hi
if your weight is +90kg than the 9.5 is not a good choice but 9.0 is fine.

Just to confirm the other answers.
I have the older 122. 87kg, and for me the 8.8 is working very nice, if there's enough wind. I've used before my old 9.5 but this feels rather heavy. 7.8 also works fine.

Hi Imlg,
you are asking for the 117, right? 75 cm width, right? Would suggest sails from 7,5 to 8,8 as ideal. A bit smaller and a bit bigger will work as well. You can choose a really big or a really small fin for big or small sizes. You will be able to sail with a 9,5 combined with a 46 cm fin, you also can have fun with a 7,0, but itīs not the ideal setup. For sure there are certain conditions you could have more fun on a bigger board with a smaller sail. Imagine you have wind in between 12 and 28 knots. We had conditions like that at the PWA Worldcup in South Korea this year. I felt better taking not the smallest board, but a bit smaller sized sail. Cheers, Chris
