There is a significant change in dimension for 2012, particularly the width going to 72 cm., which is not explained in the website description. Please explain and contrast and compare the Carve with the Futura and Kode of similar volume, particularly for inland lakes where there can be 1.5 metre high steep chop in the wind range.

Remi, perhaps you can answer this, as I don't seem to be receiving a reply from the team.

Will someone from the Starboard Team please respond to the initial question, or at least indicate when the website will be updated for 2012 with the change features and images in addition to the specs that were updated.

Thanks for your reply Remi ....... the website has been updated and provides valuable information..... seems like the 2012 was worth waiting for.
This year I have a very specific goal as an accident in Hawaii resulted in extensive shoulder surgery recently, for which I am now in rehab. So when our season starts in May, I need a board that is easy to uphaul when necessary vs. waterstart and easy to sail in a wide range of conditions.I would choose handling over speed. I have both a smaller and larger board, may use the board in 5.1, 6.2 and 6.9 conditions and weigh 72kg. Conditions are freshwater lakes. Versus the Kode and Futura, what are your thoughts? Thanks again. |

Hi Vsice
Look like the Carve 121 will be the one for you, easy up haul for 72 Kgs and easy riding. Hope you will recover well and have fun anyway All the best
