Default Overdrive settings

When i set my downhaul(north shox extension) at the recommended setting on my OD 7.5 and 9.5 (2012 models) the boom length(NP X9) is 2 cm longer than the recommended setting on both sails

The sails look as they are rigged nicely but the numbers...

the north extension has the same length as my severne renegade at the same settings/numbers.

Does the NP boom differ in length from the severne booms?

Don't know for a NP X9 boom, but my NP X7 boom (2003) differs in lenght by 3 cm compared to a Severne Enigma boom (2012) as shown below :

1) Severne Enigma 210-260 cm boom. Setting @ 260 mark = 260 cm.

2) NP X7 225-275 cm boom. Setting @ 38 mark = 260 cm, and not 263 cm as expected when adding 225 + 38.

3) Severne Enigma 210-260 cm boom. Setting @ 222 mark = 222 cm.

4) NP X7 225-275 cm boom. Setting @ 0 mark = 222 cm, and not 225 cm as expected when adding 225 + 0.

Conclusion : the true lenght of my NP X7 boom is 222-272 cm, and not 225-275 cm as printed on the boom. I always had shorter boom lenght as recommended when rigging all of my sails with this NP X7 boom (ART TNT6 8.2, NP RX2 10.6, NP RS2 8.2, Code Red R2 11, Reflex II 11, Reflex III 8.6 m2).

Cheers !

JM
