Last year I bought a Kombat 106 and so far the performance (speed) has been a little disapointing. It's probably me so maybe you can give me some tips regarding setup etc. I'm using Ezzy Wave sails in 6.0 & 7.0 and I'm 6'4" 185lbs. Sailing coastal California with winds from 15 to 25 mph. I had the board setup with 3 straps but maybe I should use 2 straps in the back. I've been using the stock freeride fin. I like the board, I just don't think that I'm getting the maximum performance out of it.
Thanks, Fer |

It depends a bit if its pure speed or early planing you are missing. For better speed, I suggest trying two straps back. That definitely let you charge the board harder, especially with powered up sails.

Hello, if you want speed use yhe external position of the foots and the bigger fin, if you prefer bump&Jump or wave then use the internal position with freeride fin or wave fin.
It's a perfect board for both thing. I like it. |
