Default Starboard Carve 111 2013

I have just ordered a Starboard Carve 111 Wood. Looking forward to get the board! Anyone who has any experience with this board?
Does it work well in choppy conditions? How does it feel compared to for exampe a Code 113 or a futura 111?

I took my 2013 carve 111 wood today. What a board. I sail on bay with chop that can be messy and this board handles with easy. It has heaps of speed, handles chop like a wave board, goes upwind with easy. Great for free wave riding and can be bumped and jumped. I've nicked named it the magic carpet.
If you sail flattish water and want speed go for the Futura. If you sail in choppy water go the Carve.

Thanks for reply! Seems like I have ordered the right board:-) I am often sailing in rather choppy coast conditions and prefer to have a board that is not to nervous but is easy to control in those conditions. I am planning to use 5.4, 6.0, and 7.2 sails for the board. I also have a 8.2 but I think it will be a bit to large? Interested to hear what sail sizes you use and what sizes you think will be best for this board?

I've only used a 6.5m NCX with a 40cm c3 venom fin. I think the sweet spot is between 6m and 7m sails. Your sails should be fine expect for the 8. Do yourself a favour and get a couple of venom fins. A 40cm for the 7, a 38 for the 6 and maybe a 36 for the 5.4.

Appreciate your advice. I have a drake 35 cm which I consider using for the 5.4, and guess that I will use the stock 38 cm fin in the beginning for the 6.0 and 7.2. But I will consider
upgrading to Venom fins! Did you have spin-out problems with the stock fin, or was the change only due
to better performance?

Previously, I had a code 113 wood 2011, and had to be gentle on the back foot pressure to avoid
spin-out with the stock fin. Had to use a more "upright-sailing-position" for that board and fin, to make it work....

Do you also have good advices for trimming of the board, for example mast foot position and straps?

The c3 venom fin is a better performance fin with no spin out issues. Goes well in a straight line and is good for free wave sailing. A must have fin.
I have my foot straps set in bound in the middle positions. I also use the recommended mast foot position.
