anyone about the Freesex 2005?

Hi

How about the planning, easy handling, popping ability of the 110 liter freesex of 2005? (wood). His nice width (69cm) how influences the speed? I would use it with my 85 kg on a gusty small lake by mostly 4-5 Bft, just learned the willy and volcan.

Width only influences the speed if you're not planning and if you're jibing. The freesex would do fine on 4-5 bft if you're sails are big enough. You and i have about the same weight so i suggest you get a nice 7.5 m?? sail for these conditions and perhaps a smaller one, somewhere aronud 5.5 m?? for the heavier duties. I also surf on a lake, though that only becomes gusty when the winds go over 5 bft. None the less, conditions should be the same and with the freesex you should have a blast! Don't worry about it'(s surface influencing it's speed, it won't in planning. And i'm pretty sure, considering the structure and sizes of the 110 that handeling is easy (though, you might wanne watch out with your back foot).

For light wind sailing it will be great. I would say the Flare planes up earlier though, despite less width. You will definietly have a wide and stable platform for learning tricks in light wind and there is lots of control built into the shape, so I don't think you will be to limited when its windier.

7 will be a bit dodgy, but if you are confident enough and you have no other alternative then your freesex 110, if your sails is small enough, 4.2 m?? max 4.5, you shouldn't get into too much trouble. But if you're unsure, try to stick with a surfer with more experience, if anything happens he/she can help you out (i've gotten into trouble in those conditions alone, and a 1.5 km swim in those conditions is far from funny)

It should work in Prassonisi, but only on the flat side. Don't even think about taking it into the waves... Also in small chop it should work ok because you'se pretty heavy.

Thanks boyz, do not think that I want to use it on the wave side I have done it since 1990, so I know the limits.

90% of my windsurfing time I spend on a small lake, which becomes only above 5 Bft choppy (very similar to Praso flatwater side). Thus I think the board is suitable for this condition. I'm not keen on waveriding.

Ola_H wrote that there is a lot of control built in the shape for windy circumstances, and that's what I wanted to know before.

However, I bought the board, tomorrow I shall pick it up, and then I'll do an icy premiere on the lake
